Last night's episode of "True Blood,"  'In The Beginning,' was as indecisive as a scatterbrained adolescent. Its irresolute plot left us in temporarily abeyance, and we just have to fend for ourselves until the following episode airs.

After her betrayal of lead authority member/lover, Roman, which cost him his life, Salome decided to offer a vile of Lilith's (first vampire created in God's image) blood to the remaining authority members, as well as a skeptical  Bill and Eric, and a salivating Russell Edgington.

Bill and Eric realized they had no choice but to consume the ancient blood as Edgington threatened the true death to anyone who denied it. Braun, a member of the authority who described the blood as "Blasphemous," met his demise as Edgington decapitated him with an elegant, yet razor sharp swipe of his hand.

Possibly one of the top highlights of the entire episode, Lilith's blood turned out to be the equivalent of vampire crack. As if Edgington needed anymore encouragement to be a sadistic loony. The unlikely group which also featured former leader of the "Fellowship of the Sun," Steve Newlin, and a scalded-faced vampire, who loves to feed on newborns, terrorized a few bon-temps citizens for fun, then ended up in the throes of a full on massacre at a karaoke club.

In the midst of their feeding frenzy, Lilith made a stunning entrance. She emerged nude from a pool of blood and breathed a crimson mist into Nora's face, which made her even more blood thirsty. But, as Eric's maker, Godric, appeared in an attempt to put an end to his senseless feeding, Lilith vanished as if she was just a blood-induced hallucination. Is it us or did Eric give bill a piggyback ride?

After learning that her abilities can be depleted because she's only half-Fae, Sookie seemed rather pleased with the prospect of becoming human. In a moment of sheer frustration, she decided to unleash a host of electric charged currents into the open night. Jason who saw the light show, rushed to her side.

Tara's mother, Lettie Mae, showed up in Fangtasia looking like vampire chow. She was dressed in your traditional church garb, with her demure sundress, unassuming flats, and handbag clutched to her hands. However, there wasn't anything holy about her visit as she only came to tell Tara that she is dead to her. Meanwhile, Pam watched the back and forth squabble with absolute glee. Later on, she comforted a distraught Tara by saying, "100 years from now, you won't even remember her. This I promise you." The two shared a brief tender moment as Tara caught her maker of guard with a heartfelt hug.

First they were lovers, then friends and now, possibly enemies. After finding out Jessica fed from an anonymous male, Jason shot her in the head. We don't understand where their story line is headed, we're just as confused as you are.
