Back in the 90's, Brandy Norwood, was all about the braids, and she looked absolutely darling in her array of funky hairstyles. Looks like the singer is once again revisiting her iconic "Moesha" do'.

"The Game" actress is currently shooting her new music video, "Put It Down," and released a series of photographs on her Tumblr website." The 33-year-old rocked a Madonna-esque pointed bra, and looked stunning in cascading box braids.

Not many people were fond of Brandy's trademark braids during her stint on "Moesha." Naysayers even tried to steer her towards more mainstream styles.

"I thought it was interesting being a young, African-American woman with braids, because at first, people were telling me that I shouldn't be wearing braids." She told Essence magazine. "I just went against that and started doing different things with my braids. Every hairstyle you saw with natural hair, or straight hair or kinky hair, you saw with my braids and I loved that.

Like most artists, Brandy likes to reinvent herself, and there's no more perfect way to do so then to play around with different hairstyles. She especially likes curly hair, "I love the way big hair looks on me." She said.

Her style inspirations are some of the entertainment industry's most talented starlets.

"I love Beyonce's hair. I just love it. It's so classy, yet very glamorous." She gushed. " I love Chanel Iman's style. I think she's beautiful in every way. Rihanna can't do any wrong. Her style is fearless. I want to be able to grow into taking risks like that. "

Brandy is excited about the release of her latest album but wants to make sure everything is perfect before it hits the stores. "The album is ready to go but it's about the timing of the single," she explained. "I don't really do anything unless I really give my 100 percent, so I had to do ["It All Belongs To Me," her duet with Monica, 31], so everything is a little bit behind for me for my project."
