Prayers For Amy Winehouse’s Ex-Husband: Blake Fielder-Civil On Life Support

Blake Fielder-Civil, 30, the ex-husband of the late singer Amy Winehouse, is currently on life support at Dewsbury and District hospital in west Yorkshire after suffering multiple organ failure and possible brain damage. Reports say Fielder-Civil went on an apparent drug and alcohol binge and was found suffocating in his bed by girlfriend, Sarah Aspin.

"I am devastated, just devastated, at what has happened. " Aspin who has a 15-month old son with Fielder-Civil said."I just want to cry all the time - but I have to be strong for our son Jack."

She added:  "We'd been so happy last Thursday morning and talked about getting married.

Mitch Winehouse, Amy Winehouse's father, is urging fans to pray for the embattled former video production assistant.

"Remember Amy loved him. Let's pray for his recovery." He wrote on his Twitter page.

Fielder-Civil was recently imprisoned for the possession of stolen goods and an imitation gun, and was released two weeks ago.

Amy Winehouse died from alcohol poisoning in her London home a year ago. She was 27-years-old.
