Mayim Bialik Hospitalized After Injuries Sustained From A Car Accident

Mayim Bialik, 36, was in a car accident in Los Angeles on Wednesday, and several media outlets have reported the former "Blossom" star to be seriously injured.

According to LAPD Sgt. Monte Houze,  she was driving down Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue when a vehicle carrying three tourists from Chile collided with her Volvo.

Houze said the actress suffered "a severe injury to her left thumb" and was taken to a local hospital. The tourists were not cited or detained." Also adding: "From what I was told, there was a lot of blood at the scene,"

Despite the excruciating pain, the former 'Blossom" star still found time to slip in a little joke from her hospital bed.

"(husband typing) In pain but will keep all my fingers. If u wanna see pre accident me watch The Soup tonight lol."

"Actress Mayim Bialik is recovering and should return to work Wednesday after suffering severe injuries to her left hand during a car accident in Hollywood," a spokeswoman said, also noting: "She thanks everyone for their concern."

Sounds like Bialik is on her way to a speedy recovery. We wish her and her family the very best.
