TV personality Rosie O'Donnell is very lucky after surviving a heart attack.

"Thank god/saved by a tv commercial/literally," she wrote on her blog on Monday, obviously trying to make light of the situation.

"They call this type of heart attack/the Widow Maker/i am lucky to be here," she continued.

According to O'Donnell she had a stent inserted after doctors discovered that her coronary artery was 99 percent blocked.

In a released statement her rep said "She is now home and resting comfortably. She is very, very lucky."

The opinionated host began to feel ill after helping "an enormous woman" from her car. It wasn't until she began to experience the common signs of a heart attack, i.e, chest pain, numbness, nausea and clammy skin, that she took action.

"maybe this is a heart attack," she wrote, relieving the dark moment. "i googled womens heart attack symptoms/i had many of them/but really? - i thought - naaaa."

Fortunately, she was wise enough to take the recommended dose of aspirin for people who believe they are having a heart attack, however, she did not call 911.

"know the symptoms ladies/listen to the voice inside/the one we all so easily ignore/CALL 911/save urself." She warned.

O'Donnell certainly won't think fondly when she looks back at the month of August 2012. She recently announced that her fiancé, Michelle Rounds, was diagnosed with a rare desmoids tumor.
