Heidi Klum Confirms She’s Dating Bodyguard Martin Kirsten

After much speculation, Heidi Klum finally confirmed she is indeed dating Martin Kirsten, her bodyguard of four years. Her admission was revealed on an appearance of Katie Couric's new show "Katie" on Wednesday, in which she said:

"I trust him with my children's life," adding. "He's a great man . . . and we just got to know each other from a completely different side."

"They've always been close," a friend of Klum's revealed about her relationship with Kirsten. "This summer the relationship developed into something more."

"He was always her rock," said the source. "While everything was crumbling in her personal life he was there for her."

"He shows real care and concern for her and her children," the source continued. "She relies on him. It's a little bit of cliché with The Bodyguard movie. I don't know what will happen in their lives."

While another source views their relationship as a" rebound,"  the statement is quickly followed by: "Still, this is someone she is comfortable with."

"If there's someone around who knows your children and knows everything around you, it's pretty comfortable and easy to connect."

Klum's harshest critics, Leni, 8, Henry, 7, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2, concur with the budding relationship. "They love him," the source explained.

Estranged ex-husband Seal who accused Klum of fornicating with the "Help," feels betrayed by Kirsten because they developed a close friendship during his service to his family.

"He's upset," echoed the source.. "What really bothers Seal was this guy was a dear friend. They called each other 'brother.' He feels betrayed."

Klum and Seal were married for seven years before deciding to separate earlier this year.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. The couple said in a released statement. "We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.
