Will Eva Mendes Turn Down A Proposal From Boyfriend Ryan Gosling?

Eva Mendes, 38, who in the past has referred to marriage as an "archaic kind of thing" may just be singing a different tune now that she's dating Ryan Gosling, 31. According to gossip website, The Enquirer, the heartthrob has marriage on the brain and has even begun his quest for the perfect engagement ring for his honey.

"Ryan is head over heels in love with Eva, and he wants to have a life with her, including children," an insider told the National Enquirer.

Gosling "believes in marriage and youngsters growing up knowing mommy and daddy are committed to each other," the insider continued."It's something Eva has balked at in the past, but Ryan has a charming way of helping her see a different kind of future."

The chiseled actor's superb acting chops definitely matches his persuasion skills because he is most "confident when he pops the question, Eva will say yes," a close friend told the tabloid magazine. "They are likely to announce their engagement in October, followed by a summer wedding.

The sultry Peruvian beauty -- who met her hunky beau on set of her forthcoming film The Place Beyond the Pines told Marie Claire Magazine, "He's your dream costar," adding, "I have never felt so creatively satisfied on a film. He's amazing."

When questioned about her future with Gosling, the actress immediately shut down. "Stop, just stop," she said. "I'm not gonna budge. I feel uncomfortable talking about it. It's too personal."

Any follow-up questions, especially ones about marriage were also off-limits. "Those are such boring topics to me," she continued. "I am not that girl. I don't like talking about things that I want in the future because I feel by verbalizing such things, they won't come true."

Mendes is reportedly very cozy with Gosling's mother, Donna. Back in January, the trio were spotted enjoying a movie in New York City.

"They all hung out and went to the movies together," an onlooker told People Magazine. "Ryan and Eva seemed very happy."
