She conquered the Olympics, and now, Gabby Douglas is eyeing the small screen. According to the CW, the bubbly 16-year-old has landed a guest starring role on one of her favorite TV shows, "The Vampire Diaries."

No details have been released about Gabby's character, however, the Huffington Post suggested that she plays one of "Bonnie's bewitching cousins." Not a bad idea.

Gabby is especially taken with one brooding blue-eyed cast member, Ian Somerhalder.

Shortly after her historic win at the London 2012 Olympic games, the entire cast of "The Vampire Diaries," which includes, Ian Somerhalder, 33, Paul Wesley, 30, Michael Trevino, 27, Claire Holt, 24, and Nina Dobrev, 23, sent Gabby a sweet congratulatory message.

"It's amazing and to think I'm part of their little group now is so cool!" a giddy Douglas said in response to the message. "They tweeted at me. You know you've finally made it when the stars are tweeting at you. They're backing me up."

Despite being in a relationship with fellow cast member, Nina Dobrev, Gabby is still hopeful of catching Somerhalder's electric blue eyes. "I'll show him my gold medal. You never know!" she said jokingly.

The cast of is just as excited as the gold medalist and took to Twitter to let her know just how much they're looking forward to her presence on the set.

@gabrielledoug is coming to The Vampire Diaries set tomorrow! Cant wait to meet and work with you girl! Dont forget to bring your bling! :P" wrote Nina Dobrev.

Somerhalder echoed the sentiment, writing, "@gabrielledoug: @ninadobrev Yess I am! Ikr Im so excited to meet you! Haha girl you know I gotcha!!!

All of Douglas' dreams are coming to fruition. According to Reuters, the teenager will be writing an "inspirational memoir" entitled "Grace, Gold and Glory, My Leap of Faith" which will be published by the Zondervan division of HarperCollins in December.

"Even before I competed in the Olympics, I always wanted to write a book," Douglas told People magazine. The book will document her rise to Olympic triumph.
