Prince Charles has given an interview in which he affirms that he will one day be the King of England, PEOPLE reported Thursday.

Prince Charles graces the latest issue of TIME and is profiled about his life as a man, husband, father, grandfather and monarch. The 67-year-old discussed his place in the world despite the spotlight not always being on him. His sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, have largely been the media attractions but Prince Charles has been working behind the scenes as the next in line to the throne.

"I've had this extraordinary feeling, for years and years, ever since I can remember really, of wanting to heal and make things better. ... I feel more than anything else it's my duty to worry about everybody and their lives in this country, to try to find a way of improving things if I possibly can," he said.

The profile is entitled "The Forgotten Prince" but the writer of the article asserted that Prince Charles was more anxious to get as much done before he becomes King.  Prince Charles is also described as having a deep commitment to the planet. He is also committed to second wife, Camilla, and his new grandchild, Prince George. He also has no worry about the order of succession, downplaying rumors that Prince William will be King instead of him.

"If you chuck away too many things," he told TIME, "you end up discovering there was value in them."
