Chris Brown will be leaving his court ordered rehab for anger management to attend a toy drive, TMZ reported Thursday.

Brown will be hosting a holiday toy drive on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles. The 24-year-old entertainer is the featured celebrity guest. He will help underprivileged kids open their presents. The rehab facility he was ordered to gave him a day pass for the outing. Sources said that the rehab facility believed Brown could benefit from the activity.

The development is a bit of good news for Brown who was in court earlier this week. Brown appeared in a Los Angeles court on Monday afternoon to face allegations that he has not been compliant with the terms of his probation. In 2009, he was found guilty of assaulting ex-girlfriend, Rihanna. He entered a plea deal to avoid jail time but over the years, he has been in trouble with the law.

Judge James Brandlin formally revoked his probation. However, he did not sentence Brown to jail. Instead, he allowed the 24-year-old to continue his treatment at an anger management facility he was been ordered to attend last month. The judge also ordered Brown not to smoke marijuana.
