Ryan Culberson is seeking treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder.

During an episode of the eighth season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Culberson, who got back from Afghanistan in Oct. 2012, was seen going on a tirade against Lydia McLaughlin's mother after she put her shoes on Vicki Gunvalson's couch.

The episode showed fans a side of Culberson they hadn't yet seen, and as a result many wondered if he could be suffering from PTSD. At the time, he blamed editing for the shocking turn of events, but now, Culberson is admitting he has a problem and agreeing to get help.

"I know I've been painted in some not so great light in the past season and after some deep soul searching I decided to reach out and get some help with the PTSD I have been dealing with for quite awhile," Culberson told Radar Online on March 6.

Culberson will be taking part in a five-day Save a Warrior program, which includes activities such as rock-climbing, horse-riding, and meditation. During his treatment, Culberson willbe filmed by a production company who will later air the footage as part of a documentary that will air on CNN.

"A guy I work with told me about the program he attended and it literally saved and changed his life. I'm really excited to go," Culberson said. "I've known for awhile I needed something so hopefully this program is what I need."
