Amanda Bynes has spoken out via her rep, in an effort to silence the rumors regarding her mental health.

Although it has been widely reported that Bynes is currently being treated for schizophrenia, her rep confirms that she does not suffer from the illness, nor is she taking any medication at this time.

"There has been much speculation about Amanda's medical condition. She has remained silent because she believed it was best to keep her mental health diagnosis private," Bynes' rep Tamar Arminak told PEOPLE Magazine on April 9. "However, she asked me to dispel certain rumors. For the record, Amanda does not have schizophrenia, nor has she ever been diagnosed with it."

After being placed on a 5150 hold in July 2013 following several odd incidents, including her lighting a driveway on fire and trespassing at an elderly community, Bynes was placed in a treatment facility where her mental health was addressed. From there, Bynes visited two other rehab facilities before being released in early Dec. 2013.

Nowadays, Bynes continues to undergo outpatient therapy several times a week, but as for medication, she isn't taking a thing.

"Amanda currently is on zero medication," Arminak revealed. "She's devoted to living her life as healthy as possible. She's never had a history of abusing alcohol or hard drugs, and she's proud to say she's been marijuana-free for the past nine months."

As she continues her outpatient therapy, Bynes has remained under her mother's legal control, which will continue until at least Sept. 2014. She is also living with her parents, Lynn and Rick, as she attends classes at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchendizing in Orange County, Calif.
