Tamra Barney Fake Storylines: Former 'RHOC' Star Slams Barney For Faking Baby Desires

Tamra Barney has reportedly been accused of creating a fake storyline during The Real Housewives of Orange County season nine.

Following a publicised feud with former co-star Gretchen Rossi, Barney, 47, is now facing the wrath of Rossi's fiance, Slade Smiley, who has accused her of using the idea of a baby in order to get attention on the show.

“Tamra is just coming up with ‘I want a baby’ [request] for a storyline,” Smiley told Radar Online. "She cried for part of the show, it was ridiculous. She needed a storyline. So she came up with the baby one."

During a season nine episode, fans watched as Barney cried to her friend about how she was a "part-time" mom to her three kids because of the ongoing custody battle between her and her ex-husband, Simon Barney. As a result, Barney felt that she was lacking when it came to being a parent and began to consider the possibility of having another child with her current husband, Eddie Judge, whom she wed last June.

“Everything Tamra does is completely manufactured for the show,” Smiley said, adding that as a former cast member, he was aware of the manipulations of certain storylines.

The feud between Barney and Smiley comes just weeks after Rossi publicly stated that Barney “cares more about ‘RHOC’ than taking care of her kids.” The comment immediatly caused a stir online, and in addition to posting a photo of a gun, Barney called Rossi a "nasty b***h" who "will do anything to stay relevant."
