Aviva Drescher’s father has reportedly landed a spinoff on Bravo.

As The Real Housewives of New York City continues to struggle in the ratings, one of its stars had landed their own spinoff, based around their upcoming wedding.

“Even thought the current season of RHONY is a ratings flop, the breakout stars are Aviva’s dad [George Teichner], and Lavette,” a source revealed to Radar Online on June 24. “Fans have very strong reactions to both of them as individuals, and of course as a couple. Dana’s show doesn’t have a working title yet, but will begin filming at the end of August.”

During season six of The Real Housewives of New York City, fans were introduced to 25-year-old Dana Lavatte Cody, and during the introduction, they were surprised with an engagement.

Although the age gap between Teichner and Cody was certainly quite large (Teichner is 76-years-old), Drescher appeared excited for her father to be walking down the aisle once again.

In the weeks since the on-air engagement, Cody has been accused of being a gold digger, but according to Radar Online, her brother, Derrick, recently spoke out in her defense, noting that Cody owns a successful salon, Tippie Toes, with locations in Miami and Los Angeles, and insisting that she does not need Teichner’s money.

During an interview with Wetpaint Entertainment, Drescher spoke of her love for Cody and suggested Bravo add her to the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City.

“I would love to see my father’s fiancee join the cast,” Drescher said. "I think she would be really interesting.”

Still, a source claims Drescher is a bit jealous that Cody has gotten her own spinoff.

“Aviva had no idea Dana was going to be getting her own show!” the source told Radar. "She will be featured on the spinoff, but she is a bit jealous that Dana will be the sole focus on her show."
