Dr. Paul Nassif Girlfriend: Chantell DeJong Financial Troubles Revealed

Dr. Paul Nassif's girlfriend's dark financial past has been exposed.

Just weeks after Nassif, 51, went public with Orange County native Chantell DeJong, 45, a new report claims DeJong once filed for bankruptcy.

"[DeJong] filed the bankruptcy with the Santa Ana, Calif. courthouse and by May 22, 1996, it was discharged, wiping out all of her debt," Radar Online reported on June 30. And that wasn't all. The site also reported that a tax lien was processed against DeJong in the amount of $2,014, but released in Sept. 2005.

After meeting last July, Dr. Nassif debuted his relationship with DeJong earlier this month, posting a photo on Instagram of himself and DeJong, along with the caption, "My gf Chantell." According to Radar Online, DeJong is a mother of three who is currently working as an account executive in insurance living in Newport Beach, Calif.

Prior to meeting DeJong, Dr. Nassif was married to millionaire Adrienne Maloof. From 2010 to 2013, Dr. Nassif and Maloof appeared together on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Bevelry Hills, but amid filming on season three, the pair went their separate ways.

In the weeks which followed their divorce filing, Dr. Nassif and Maloof sparred back and forth in the press with accusations of domestic abuse and child abuse.

Following their split, Maloof moved on with 32-year-old Sean Stewart, son of rocker Rod Stewart, but is now dating 24-year-old Jacob Busch, heir to the Anheuser-Busch brewing company. In Feb. 2014, during an interview with E! News, Maloof stated that she and Busch were "very close" to an engagement.

No word yet on how serious Dr. Nassif is with DeJong.
