Lisa Vanderpump is speaking out about the rumored new addition to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna.

Although the restaurateur failed to confirm whether or not Rinna would be a part of season five, she appeared to be excited about the possibility of having her longtime friend join the Bravo series.

"I've known Lisa for 25 years," Vanderpump told E! News. "I love her and I have an authentic relationship with her…I do think she's very opinionated and vocal and I think that's a good thing for reality television or you fall asleep."

Earlier this summer, following the exits of new cast members, Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia (who were both brought aboard the show for season four), it was reported that Rinna had begun filming season five with the rest of the cast. During her first scene, Rinna was introduced to Brandi Glanville, and according to reports, the pair immediately butted heads.

Weeks later, E! News confirmed Rinna's appearance on the series.

After season four, Vanderpump was on the fence about returning. Throughout the season, Vanderpump had dealt with allegations of manipulation and lies, so when it came time to sign back on for another year, she was hesitant. However, after doing some thinking and enjoying some time off, Vanderpump confirmed her Real Housewives return.

"Last season was awful and I think the viewers were very uncomfortable about that and I did feel like quitting after that," she explained. "But time is a great healer and after six months, I kind of reconnected with a couple of them and I thought, 'OK, I'll go back in.'"
