Chris Soules' co-star has confirmed that he will star as the next season's Bachelor.

In a new interview, Cody Sattler, who starred alongside Soules on The Bachelorette season 10, revealed that Soules is "absolutely" the new Bachelor and spoke of his excitement for his former co-star.

“Yeah, absolutely!” Sattler confirmed to Hollywood Life on July 30. “Chris was one of the very first guys I had a good connection with in the house. Even this week [at After the Final Rose], we kicked it. He is a good dude and I couldn’t be more excited for him to be The Bachelor.”

On The Bachelorette, Soules made it to the final three, but after Andi Dorfman failed to catch up to the feelings he had for her, he was sent home. Immediately following the episode, fans and media outlets were buzzing over the possibility of him becoming the next Bachelor.

“The audience really connected with him,” a source close to the show told Hollywood Life in June. “He’s handsome and successful, making him a great candidate for the show. Auditions have already started for his season.”

On Tuesday, E! News reported that the Bachelor hadn't yet been revealed because producers have been unable to decide between Soules and Arie Luyendyk Jr., who appeared on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette.

During Monday night's Men Tell All special, Soules spoke to host Chris Harrison, revealing that he was prepared to move on from Dorfman and begin searching for his one true love.

"I'm optimistic that my future is bright and I'm definitely ready to move on," he said.
