Leah Calvert's Pill Use Exposed On 'Teen Mom 2'

While Calvert and Simms have had their ups and downs in the past, they seemed to be getting along better throughout Teen Mom 2 season five. Unfortunately, the good times have ended and the pair is now headed for a messy child custody battle.

“A few months ago, Leah asked Corey for more money, and it really pissed him off,” a source close to Calvert revealed to In Touch Weekly on Sept. 3. “To get back at her, he asked for full custody of Ali and Aleeah — and used her recent prescription-medication use as grounds as well.”

On Wednesday night's episode of Teen Mom 2, Calvert was seen requesting Simms' child support payments be raised. At the time the scene was shot, which was a couple of months ago, Simms was reportedly paying just $200 per month for both Ali and Aleeah.

While fans will have to wait and see what happened next on the show, In Touch Weekly's source claimed things got ugly quick after Simms realized he could use the footage of Calvert's pill use as evidence of her alleged incapabilities as a mother.

“She couldn’t believe that Corey would stoop so low, especially since he knows that she’s a good mom,” the source explained.

The source also revealed that while Calvert has admitted to taking pills to calm her nerves, she is sober now.
