Leah Calvert And Corey Simms Custody Battle

In a sneak peek at next week's episode of Teen Mom 2, Corey is seen in the car with his wife, opening up about his and Leah Calvert's upocming custody battle and explaining his desires for Ali and Aleeah to have more structure in their lives.

“So we’re going to meet the lawyer today about getting more custody of the girls,” Corey told Miranda in the Sept. 12 clip, via Radar Online. “I just really want the best for the girls. That’s the main thing. That’s my number one priority: what’s best for the girls. They just need structure.”

Leah Calvert "Upset" Over Impending Custody Battle

Simms and Calvert share twin girls, Ali and Aleeah, 4, and were previously married. However, their marriage lasted just six months and now, they are both married to other people, Simms to his wife Miranda and Calvert to her husband Jeremy.

Although Simms currently wants to increase his custody arrangement, his wife insisted that they aren't trying to be spiteful or take anything from Calvert and Jeremy.

“That’s what I think is really important to understand is that we’re not trying to take away,” she said. “We’re not attacking anybody. We just want what’s best for the girls. And it’s all about the girls and that’s the important thing.”

This scene comes just one week after Simms and Calvert, along with their partners, engaged in a heated debate in a parking lot. That clip can be seen below.

Teen Mom 2 airs on Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. on MTV.
