Samantha Yanks has been presented with the opportunity to join The Real Housewives of New York City.

Ramona Singer Demoted On 'RHONY,' May Quit The Series

Ahead of the show's upcoming seventh season, casting news has been swirling the web. In the latest development, Yanks, the Editor-In-Chief of Hamptons Magazine, was approached by Bravo producers, who wanted her to appear on the reality series.

“The network was interested in casting influential New York women, and Samantha was on the top of their list,” a show insider told Radar Online on Sept. 30. “Samantha met with them and ended up turning them down. But Bravo still wouldn’t take no for an answer and still pursued her.

LuAnn De Lesseps Will Return To 'RHONY' As An "Official Housewife"

After The Real Housewives of New York City's sixth season wrapped this summer, Bravo made several changes to the show's cast. In addition to allegedly firing Aviva Drescher, producers demoted Ramona Singer to a limited role and upgraded LuAnn de Lesseps to an "official housewife."

Housewife Sonja Morgan is also reportedly returning, but the other wives, including Heather Thomson, Carole Radziwill and Kristen Taekman, are unspoken for, which leaves plenty of room for new ladies.

Unfortunately, Yanks will not be one of them.

“After careful consideration, she decided that it wasn’t the right fit for her,” the source explained. “Samantha has nothing against the show and was flattered to be considered. But at the end of the day she decided to pass.”

The Real Housewives of New York City's seventh season will air sometime next year.
