Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis have resumed their working relationship.

After dominating season 18 of Dancing With The Stars, the pair reunited for a couple of unnamed projects, which Chmerkovskiy spoke about during a new interview with PEOPLE Magazine.

"While I am doing other things, Meryl is a close friend and has become very important in my life. We have new projects together," he told the magazine, according to an Oct. 1 report by Wet Paint.

Could project number one be ABC's upcoming special Shall We Dance On Ice? Not only are Chmerkovskiy and Davis set to appear in the special, but Charlie White and his DWTS partner Sharna Burgess will be featured as well.

Speaking of fans, many were calling into question just how platonic Chmerkovskiy's relationship was with Davis. However, when asked during the interview, he kept his answer short, sweet and simple.

"I am a hopefully romantic who falls in lust and gets into trouble," he said.

As for his future with DWTS, he said the show had a huge impact on his life, but only "time will tell" if he will ever return to the show. Hopefully, fans of the dance competition will see him again soon.

"I still watch the show, because it is part of me and will be 50 years from now," he said. "Winning was a huge portion of a big chunk of my life. I am not sure if I will return or in what capacity. Time will tell."
