Vicki Gunvalson Brooks Ayers: 'RHOC' Couple No Longer Dating, She Responds To Cancer Diagnosis [VIDEO]

Brooks Ayers Is Suffering From Stage 3 Cancer

Speaking to PEOPLE Magazine, the Real Housewives of Orange County star revealed she and Ayers are no longer an item. She also released a statement regarding his recent stage 3 lymphoma diagnosis.

Gunvalson and Ayers "are no longer dating," PEOPLE reported on Oct. 2. "I am not married to Brooks, nor engaged, nor are we living together," Gunvalson explained.

Brooks Ayers Admits To Sleeping With A Hooker

Gunvalson and Ayers have been dating on and off for the last several years, as fans have witnessed during episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County. In his first few episodes, Ayers made a good impression on fans, coming off as a Southern gentlemen who had swept Gunvalson off her feet.

Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill -- especially after audio recordings of Ayers calling Gunvalson a "wh**e" and threatening to abuse her hit the web and were broadcast during one of The Real Housewives of Orange County's reunion specials. In the recordings, Ayers also suggested Gunvalson's daughter's husband, Ryan Culberson, abuse wife Briana.

Earlier this week, following news of his relationships with hookers, Ayers revealed to Radar Online that he had been diagnosed with an "aggressive" and fast-moving" form of lymphoma.

In response to the news, Gunvalson released the following statement:

"I am very sad about the recent diagnosis of Brooks's cancer reoccurrence," Gunvalson told the magazine. "It really puts life in perspective and makes you realize how important health, family and friends are during this time. Thank you for respecting his privacy and for all your thoughts and prayers for Brooks during this time."
