There was not a dry eye in the crowd as Bethany Mota ended her week four dance.

Are Bethany Mota And Derek Hough Dating?

This week's Dancing With The Stars theme was the star's most memorable year. Mota decided to honor 2009, the year she posted her first YouTube video, which would eventually change her life. However, the reason she turned to social media may surprise you.

"My most memorable year by far is 2009, which was the year I started YouTube, but I didn't just get into it, you know, because I wanted to create content. I did it because I was bullied," Mota told Derek Hough in her pre-dance video, according to an Oct. 7 report by Hollywood Life. "I felt like I kind of lost my voice. I felt like no one else knew what I was going through. I guess I'll never be confident again, I guess I'll never truly love myself."

The emotional prelude weaved into a slow rumba routine to Colbie Caillat's "Try." Behind the dancers, whose movements were soft and fluid, was a screen showing different words, like nerd, ugly, fat and loser. Toward the end of the dance, Mota looked up at the taunting names and pushed them aside, replacing them with the words "I Love Who I Am."

This dance inspired a Twitter trend for the night: #ILoveWhoIAmBecause.

Julianne Hough, through tears, told Mota what she stands for is "beautiful, and what you wish you could have told yourself years ago, you just told so many girls tonight."

The dancing pair did not receive a perfect score, because there wasn't much rumba content. Instead, they went home with a score of 33 out of 40.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced, claiming Mota and Hough may have been dating. However, a source later stated things were nothing more than platonic between the dancers.
