After signing on to appear on the reality series with her husband, Reid, the former Real Housewives of New York City star reportedly failed a lie detector test about why she married him.

“Aviva was asked during her lie detector test if she married her husband, Reid, for money,” an insider revealed to Life & Style on Oct. 16. “Her answer was ‘No’ — and she failed that question!”

Aviva Drescher's Marriage: Ruined By Reality TV

Aviva and Reid tied the knot after her marriage to Harry Dubin ended in 2005. When they wed, both Aviva and Reid had one child from previous relationships. In the years that followed, Aviva and Reid welcomed two children of their own, Hudson and Sienna.

During filming, Aviva was also asked about her marriage to Harry, a regular guest star on The Real Housewives of New York City, and former flame of Sonja Morgan.

“They asked if she would rather be working on her first marriage than her marriage to Reid. Her answer was ‘No,’ but she failed that, too!” the source alleged.

In the press release for Marriage Boot Camp, it was noted Aviva's love of the spotlight had put a strain on her and Reid's marriage.

“Her affinity for being famous, her cruel new TV friends and destructive self internet searches are driving a wedge between them,” the release stated, according to an Oct. 7 report by Radar Online. “Aviva cannot [read] a single thing without taking it to heart, and Reid is tired of living in her drama.”

Marriage Boot Camp premieres in early 2015.
