Twenty racy or nude photos of the 25-year-old Vampire Diaries star have surfaced on the Web. They were reportedly leaked in what the media dubbed "The Fappening," a massive hacking of known celebrities' iCloud accounts.

"Nudity of not, we have to say that we are totally Team Nina on this - and on the side of every celebrity who has had their personal cell phones leaked. The entire scandal is completely an invasion of privacy," Dobrev's report read, according to an Oct. 19 article by KDrama Stars.

The report continues to allege Dobrev's ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder could be behind the circulation of the photos. The couple split last year, and Somerhalder is now datingTwilight star Nikki Reed. Apparently he holds a grudge over his ex, who has been romantically linked to the likes of Orlando Bloom, Liam Hemsworth and Muse band member Dominic Howard.

Somerhalder reportedly had access to the photos that were posted.

The massive photo leak began on Labor Day Weekend, when an anonymous user posted a list of 200 celebrities that would be hacked on the photo sharing website 4chan. Many A-list celebrities were included, such as Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kim Kardashian and Amber Heard.

Most stars are calling the incident a sex crime. They believe their personal Apple iCloud accounts were tapped into, letting numerous images -- often times very sexual or even nude -- to leak onto popular sites, such as Reddit.

The FBI is continuing their ongoing investigation.
