Dancing with the Stars news, updates: Bethany Mota eliminated, learns to take more risks after grueling elimination round

Dancing with the Stars news, updates:  Fans were disappointed as Bethany Mota and partner Derek Hough were eliminated from season 19 of Dancing with the Stars.

Even more heartbreaking was the fact that it took place just hours away from the November 25 grand finale.

But the YouTube sensation has taken it all in stride. She considers the show a learning experience that she will remember for the rest of her life.

"I've learned to take more risks," she told Us Weekly after the elimination. "Going into this competition I was really scared because it's a live show and I'm not used to doing that stuff. Everything I've been doing for years, it's all pre-filmed, and if I make a mistake I can edit it out. But this is different."

Dancing live weekly in front of a huge audience and very strict judges strengthened Mota's self -confidence.

"Putting myself out there is definitely something I've become much more comfortable with," she explained, "and I feel like I've learned and grown a lot in that way."

Mota and Hough's freestyle routine impressed Dancing with the Stars vets Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, Julianne Hough, and Bruno Tonioli. However, their perfect score was not enough to take the pair to the finish line.

"I thought maybe I knew where the night was leading and where we were going to go," said Hough, who nevertheless remained proud of their performance.

Describing his partner, Mota added, "She annihilated it, she killed it."

"I watched it back it even looks better than it felt! She looks amazing. She's a queen."

With more time on her hands, what was Mota looking forward to?

"Sleeping in! I don't know, though - I used to sleep in really late and stay up really late. I kind of like this new routine. I may stick with it!" she laughs.

And she's going back to her roots: YouTube videos.

"I'm excited to get back to my videos. I really want to throw myself into that. I'm excited about that most definitely."
