Celebrity style: Reese Witherspoon goes for retro glam for the January 205 cover of Harper's Bazaar UK.  Styled with clean makeup, feminine ensembles and loose, wavy hair, the photo was shot by ace photographer Alexi Lubomirski.

In one spread, the 38 year old actress is seen in a light blue Fendi dress, a color that beautifully accentuated her eyes. In another image, Witherspoon is sitting on a kitchen counter wearing a long pencil skirt with a ruffled hemline and an off white knit top.

It appears that the Harper's stint is part of a global publicity campaign for her movie Wild, which is deemed Oscar worthy.

In the article, Witherspoon talks about Hollywood and the danger of being stereotyped after being known for portraying the brat-turned-lawyer Elle Woods in the Legally Blonde movies.

Witherspoon shares that she hates being put in a box. Instead, she says everyone should appreciate each other's quirks, on screen and off.

Directed by Jean-Marc Vallée and a screenplay by Nick Hornby, Wild is based on the memoir Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail written by Cheryl Strayed. Witherspoon took on the challenge of playing Cheryl Strayed, who, in 1994, decided to hike 1,101 miles along the Pacific Crest Trail alone, as a way to cope with a divorce, death in the family, and years of drug addiction. It will be released in theaters on December 5, 2014.

The movie also stars Laura Dern.
