Anne Hathaway, Alicia Keys, Kelly Osborne, Julie Bowen and other celebrities join forces in launching new Let Girls Learn PSA campaign

Anne Hathaway, Alicia Keys, Kelly Osborne, Julie Bowen, Jennifer Garner, Josh Duhamel, James Van Der Beek, Denise Richards, Susan Sarandon are just some of the recognizable faces of the over two dozen celebrities who have volunteered to join together in a new public service announcement video in support of the US Government's Let Girls Learn initiative.

Spear-headed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Let Girls Learn is an effort to provide the public with meaningful ways to help all girls to get a quality education. Aside from the new PSA video which launched Friday, the agency also announced that $231.6 million has been made available for new programs to support primary and secondary education as well as safe learning in Nigeria, Afghanistan, South Sudan and Jordan. Part of the funding, according to USAID, will also go toward helping Guatemala to improve the quality of education for under-served populations. The agency is also inviting people to share their own stories about the importance of education for women using the hashtag, #LetGirlsLearn.

James Van Der Beek, best known for his Dawson Creek role, in the new Let Girls Learn PSA video said, "All girls should have the freedom to learn." Modern Family star Julie Bowen added: "A threat to girls' education anywhere is a threat to progress everywhere." Anne Hathaway seconded: "It's time to unlock their potential." Each celebrity featured in the video says you too can make a difference "because a girl with a book and a girl with a microscope and a girl with a hard hat and a girl with a gavel are the leaders and peacemakers of tomorrow. Let girls learn."

Some of the other celebrities which can be seen in the Let Girls Learn PSA video include Amy Brenneman, Chris Colfer, Joe Mangianello, Diego Boneta, DeAndre Jordan, Darren Criss, Julie Delpy, Lance Bass, Moby, Nikki Reed, Paul Wesley, Rita Wilson, Shonda Rhimes and Soledad O'Brien.
