Prince William during a breakfast visit at Centrepoint, a charity organisation which provides accommodation and support to young homeless people, has described wife Princess Kate's hair as "a nightmare" while chatting with a 20-year-old trainee hairdresser named Angel.

As narrated by Angel to US Weekly, "[Prince William] was asking us all about Centrepoint-how we were doing with our courses and all that sort of stuff. Then suddenly he asked whether I could help out with Kate's hair, because it's such a nightmare, so long and thick, it's a bit of an issue. I didn't think he was serious at first-I couldn't believe it."She added: "To me, her hair always looks perfect, like no effort goes into it at all-but it obviously must take time to make it look so good. I think any girl would love to do Kate's hair though."

Angel is one of the many young people who are being provided by Centrepoint with education, training or employment, and the teaching of life skills. The charity also providesaccommodation including emergency night-shelters, short and long stay hostels, specialist projects for care leavers, ex-offenders, young single parents, foyers and supported flats and floating support services. Prince William has been a Centrepoint patron since 2005. The charity's chief executive, Seyi Obakin, told Daily Mail: "The Duke of Cambridge's visit provided a huge boost for all the young people he met ahead of Christmas, which for them can be a difficult and emotional time. Fortunately for many vulnerable young people staying with us in London, Sunderland and Bradford, while they won't have their families around them, they will have Centrepoint."

Meanwhile, just as Prince William was bringing cheers and encouragement at Centrepoint, the princess with the "nightmare" hair was also doing her share of the proverbial good deed for the day. Princess Kate went to a Beaver Scout meeting at Old Ford Primary School in Bow in the East End to add highlight to the scout association's new campaign, Better Prepared, which aims to bring scouting to 200 of the most deprived parts of the country. The Duchess of Cambridge, who is five months pregnant with her second child, helped the Beavers, aged between five and eight, learn about life with disabilities by gamely joining in all of their activities.
