Matt Damon who two years ago relocated with his family to Los Angeles' Pacific Palisades, and now lives on the same street as his friend Ben Affleck has finally sold his one-acre property at 6020 N. Bay Road for $15.375 million to Patrick Markert, CEO of the Atlanta-based AmeriSave Mortgage, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The property is comprised of two separate but adjacent parcels. It was originally listed for $20 million on April 11, 2013, but was later reduced to $18,999,000 late last year. Situated on an acre of land, the waterfront property is site for a 12,700-square-foot house with seven bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a wine cellar and a custom summer kitchen. It also has a pool house with private roof terrace and a two-bedroom guest house. Surrounded by an eight-foot tall, palm tree-lined security wall, the property also includes 170 feet of water frontage on Biscayne Bay.

Damon bought the property in 2005 in two separate transactions for a combined total of $14.5 million. His former neighbors there include Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Calvin Klein and Alex Rodriquez.

"The Jills" of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC announced the completion of the sale Wednesday. Listing agents Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg, collectively referred to as "the Jills," brokered the deal for both the buyer and the seller. "It was a puzzle to put these two sales together," Ms. Eber told the Wall Street Journal. "The Jills"said that the sale pushed through was fortuitous. Mr. Markert, they said, was at that time looking to move to a single-family home to raise his family.

Damon meanwhile is reportedly in talks to star in The Great Wall, a supernatural thriller set in 15th century China about British warriors who chance upon the hurried construction of the massive wall. As night falls, the warriors realize that the haste in building the wall isn't just to keep out the Mongols - there is something inhuman and more dangerous, reports Coming Soon. The film will mark the English-language debut of director Zhang Yimou.
