Hannibal Season 3 is set to air by 2015 and this psychological thriller will focus on universal and classic horror. Hannibal has been a huge hit since its debut. The cast and crew are midway in shooting scenes and the creators are getting ready to offer a real entertainment for the fans.

This NBC psychological thriller is said to bring in new actors that includes Kristin Chenoweth, Anna Friel, Malcolm McDowell, Lance Henriksen, Brad Dourif, David Thewlis and David Bowie

Bryan Fuller, the show's producer talks about what the fans will expect when it returns on air.

According to Collider, "For the new season, we have actually been talking a lot about classic horror and Universal horror, and the metaphor of Will Graham being a bit of a Frankenstein's monster," Fuller said. "He dies, essentially, at the end of the season, and comes back from that stitched together a new man.  Who that man is and how he's seeking his maker is going to be the thrust of the season."

The show had kicked off filming in Florence and both Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy were seen with blood splattered across their faces. This only means that the new season is a total gore-fest.

On the other hand, Michael Pitt was supposed to play Hannibal's arch-enemy Mason Verger, but at the last minute Pitt decided to leave the production. He has been replaced by Joe Anderson.

But certain reports are showing that Pitt was not liked by the production staff and was not in good terms when he left. These reports could somehow confirm rumors about his decision to leave the HBO TV series Boardwalk Empire too.

Although Hannibal is considered as one of the best series for the past couple of years, the show is actually struggling with ratings. The producers are hoping that this coming season, it would boost off the show's ratings with a surprising and gory storyline.

Adding to that are some actors who will be joining the cast like Tao Okamoto and Eddie Izzard, who will play Lady Murasaki and Abel Gideon respectively. In the meantime, "Hannibal" Season 3 is set to air in the spring of 2015.
