When Grimm Season 4 returns Friday, January 16, "Nick and Hank must save Monroe from the Secundum Naturae Ordinem Wesen while Juliette considers life as a Hexenbiest,"according to NBC's teaser.

Titled "Wesenrein," episode 9 takes off from where the show left before the holiday breaks - with Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) being abducted by the KKK-like Secundum Naturae Ordinem Wesen and Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch), after helping Nick (David Giuntoli) become a Grimm again, finds out that she herself has turned into a Hexenbiest. The network's teaser trailer for the next episode reveals that Nick's resolve to keep his balance in being a Grimm while also being a cop will be put to the test as he tries to save Monroe, with the narrator saying: "He lives on two sides of the law, but this time he has no choice; he must cross the line. Can he save Monroe before he pays the ultimate price?"

Regarding the storyline on the Wesen hate group known as the Secundum Naturae Ordinem Wesen (SNOW), Bree Turner who plays Rosalie told Dread Central that "Two to three episodes are on this, single-handedly dealing with this group of people. It just gets so dark. ...[for] Rosalee and Monroe it's life and death at this point. This is a major storyline for the second half of the season dealing with will they even physically survive this terror attack? How are they going to respond to being on the front line of change? And can their relationship really hold up to this? This isn't like the in-laws not liking you. This is very, very serious life and death stuff...., but I think the fans are going to really enjoy it."

As to what Juliette will do about her new condition, Bitsie in an interview with Zap2it said: "[Becoming a Hexenbiest] is the last thing in the world she wants. It's hard enough for her being as involved as she is with the Grimm stuff. She's the kind of Wesen, or witch rather, that her boyfriend's fate is to kill them, so that's kind of scary and she's obviously going to try to hide it from him while she figures out how to correct it. She's obviously going to try to desperately get back to normal."

But what of poor confused Sgt. Wu (Reggie Lee)? In a talk with TVLine, David Giuntoli revealed: "I do see him hanging out at the trailer. This is where it goes. I see him as one of the gang now. It's fun, because he's still in blue all the time and describing crime scenes and rolling his eyes. It's very fun to watch him in the know."
