Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass Now in Post Production

Walt Disney's Alice in Wonderland 2, the follow up film to the Tim Burton-helmed Alice in Wonderland 2010 box-office hit is now officially entitled as "Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass." James Bobin is directing based on a screenplay by Linda Woolverton. Danny Elfman will provide the musical scoring for the Alice in Wonderland sequel. Tim Burton will remain as producer. The summary of the Alice in Wonderland 2 plot at Coming Soon reads: "Alice In Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass revisits Lewis Carroll's beloved stories with an all-new new tale that travels back to Underland - and back in Time." Principal photography began 4 August and ended 31 October 2014. Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass will be shown in theaters beginning 27 May 2016.

For the Alice in Wonderland sequel, Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska will be seen returning on screen to reprise their roles as the 'Mad Hatter Tarrant Hightopp' and as 'Alice Kingsleigh,' respectively. Others confirmed in the Alice in Wonderland 2 live-action cast are Helena Bonham Carter as 'the Red Queen Iracebeth of Crims,' Anne Hathaway as 'the White Queen Mirana of Marmoreal,' Sacha Baron Cohen as 'Time,' Rhys Ifans as 'the Mad Hatter's father Zanik Hightopp,' Matt Lucas as 'Tweedledee and Tweedledum,' and Ed Speleers as 'James Harcourt.' The voice cast is comprised of Stephen Fry as 'the Cheshire Cat,' Toby Jones as 'Wilkins,' Alan Rickman as 'the Blue Caterpillar Absolem,' Michael Sheen as 'the White Rabbit as Nivens McTwisp,' Timothy Spall as 'the Bloodhound Bayard,' Paul Whitehouse as 'the March Hare Thackery Earwicket,' Barbara Windsor as 'the Dormouse Mallymkun,' and John Sessions as 'Humpty Dumpty.'

Meanwhile, Alice in Wonderland mainstays Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter have finally called it quits on their relationship of 13 years. While they were never officially married, the eccentric couple have two children together: Billy Raymond, 11, and Nell, 7. The couples' statement to the press said they "separated amicably earlier this year and have continued to be friends and co-parent their children."
