Some superb news for all the fans of the long gone series "X -Files" and also the recently concluded series "Prison Break", these shows might stand a chance at returning to Fox soon.

Fox channel's chief executive officers Dana Walden and Gary Newman have recently confirmed this news about bringing back these shows, but they also said that for the science fiction horror drama "X -Files", they must get aboard the original cast of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, as without them, the show will not have its grace and quality. Also, the show's creator Chris Carter needs to agree for this. Unfortunately, both of the lead actors are currently committed to their own shows; Duchovny is busy with "Aquarius" on NBC and Anderson is tied up with NBC's "Hannibal."

Not only are these actors busy shooting for their shows, both of them are also ambitious writers as well. Anderson is a writer for the sci-fi genre. On the other hand, Duchovny has just finished and published his very first book "Holy Cow: A Modern-Day Dairy Tale". The channel's producers will have to be really very convincing, to make them hop back and agree for a revival of the hit show.

X- Files was a very popular show back in the nineties, with Scully and Mulder looking all cool chasing away aliens and ghosts. It was a great hit with audience of all age groups, but it will be kind of difficult to inculcate new story lines in the era of 2015, where talks and movies on aliens and ghosts is not that rare as it used to be back in the 90's.

No one has yet commented the exact date for the shooting to start off, but the fans are already pretty excited by this news.
