‘Reign’ Season 2 Episode 12: Will Have Mary Doing Something She Thought She Could Never Do

The CW's series Reign Season 2 is set to air the 12th episode on Thursday, January 29, at its regular 9:00-10:00 PM time slot is entitled "Banished.' According to the studio's official synopsis, Mary finds out the truth from Greer about rumors going around Court, forcing her to do something she never thought possible. Meanwhile, Francis finds himself in a growing rivalry with Condé for Mary. Also, Bash's mother Diane (guest star Anna Walton) returns, igniting a long overdue confrontation with Catherine. And elsewhere, Claude is determined to find out the truth about who really killed the twins.

In last week's episode, it was shown that Mary has decided to reconcile with Francis. She went to talk things through with him but she backed away when she saw him asleep next to Lola and their child. Also last week, Catherine told Claude why she was trying to poison her. She was told she killed her twin sisters when she was 5-years-old. Claude denied it, but nonetheless tried to drink the goblet of poison to satisfy her mother's thirst for revenge. Catherine stopped her before she could drink, disappointing the ghosts of her husband Henry and the twins.

Reign stars Adelaide Kane as Mary, Toby Regbo as King Francis, Torrance Coombs as Bash, Megan Follows as Queen Catherine, Celina Sinden as Greer, Caitlin Stasey as Kenna, Anna Popplewell as Lola, Jonathan Keltz as Leith and Sean Teal as Condé. The recurring cast includes Rose Williams as Claude, Michael Therriault as Lord Castleroy, Rossif Sutherland as Nostradamus, and Ben Aldridge as Antoine. The TV series which follow the early years of Mary, Queen of Scots, in 1557 France has been created by Stephanie SenGupta and Laurie McCarthy for The CW. On January 11, it was announced by the network that the series has been renewed for a third season.
