Leonardo DiCarpio's biography list his pets as a Rottweiler named Baby and a Bearded Dragon named Lizard. During the filming of his breakout film Titanic, he was known to carry Lizard around with him on the set. He has had dogs and frogs, and enjoys going on safari to check out less house-friendly creatures, says Movie Fone. He also owns a sulcata tortoise which according to TMZ he bought in 2010 for $400 that is expected to live another 70 to 80 years and can grow to weigh about 200 pounds.

A committed wildlife preservation activist and advocate, DiCarpio donated $1 million to the Wildlife Conservation Society in 2011 at Russia's tiger summit. DiCaprio's persistence and determination to get to the event despite encountering two plane delays prompted then Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who hosted the international gathering, to call him a 'muzhik' or 'real man.' The delegates at the summit agreed to double tiger numbers by 2022. To meet such goal, the countries they represented will begin to focus on protecting tiger habitats, addressing poaching, illegal trade and providing the financial resources for the plan.

To moviegoers, DiCarpio will next be seen in 20th Century Fox's The Revenant, a period revenge thriller based on Michael Punke's 2002 novel of the same name, which is scheduled for a limited December 25 release in the United States followed by a wider release on January 8, 2016. DiCarpio stars as Hugh Glass, the revenant, a real-life fur trapper and frontiersman noted for his many exploits during the period. Joining him in the cast are Tom Hardy, Will Poulter, Domhnall Gleeson, Kristoffer Joner, and Brad Carter.
