James Bond star Daniel Craig injured his knee while on the set of the upcoming James Bond movie Spectre. The 46-year-old actor's sprained knee - which happened while on a fight scene for the Skyfall sequel at Pinewood studios in Buckinghamshire at the start of the week - stalled the filming and resulted to considerable panic among the movie heads due to the already clinched shooting schedule of the much anticipated film.

'Filming deadlines are so tight, any sort of delay can bring mayhem to schedules,' a Sun source shared to Daily Mail. After the incident, the extras were simply told to go home for the day as the shooting would not have been able to proceed for now.

Later in the week, however, a movie spokesperson managed to guarantee fans that Craig is recovering well and that filming will likely continue this weekend.

'Daniel Craig sustained a knee sprain this week while shooting a fight scene on the set of Spectre,' the camp told Daily Mail. 'He will be filming on Saturday as planned.'

Indeed, perhaps there really isn't anything fans have to worry about. So far in the production, the big-budget sequel to the hit franchise has gone according to plan, with much of the scenes being filmed on different locations, including London and Austria. The upcoming James Bond film - set to be released in November - is 24th in the hit franchise that is based on the classic novels by Ian Fleming.

The movie, aside from Craig's recurring main role, will also feature a star-studded cast - with Sam Mendes on the director's chair once again - with Cristoph Waltz, Monica Belucci, Lea Seydoux, Dave Bautista and Andrew Scott.

Waltz - who has widely been anticipated to play the role of legendary villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, head of the fictional Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion - assured everyone that the new James Bond film will be better than expected: 'We've got an amazing cast and, I think, a better script than we had last time.'
