British actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter played a "fitting" Frank Sinatra song at their wedding. According to the Sun [via National Ledger], it was Cumberbatch himself who decided on having the song My Funny Valentine played at the nuptial ceremony.

Cumberbatch, 38, and Hunter, 36, tied the knot Saturday, Valentine's Day, in a private ceremony with family and close friends at the St. Peter and St. Paul's Church on the Isle of Wight in England. Around 40 guests were reportedly in attendance including Tom Hiddleston, Andrew Scott and Cumberbatch's Sherlock co-star Martin Freeman. Earlier in the day, the bridal party were seen arriving at the 12th century church at around 3.20 pm with umbrellas to protect them from the downpour. Following the nuptials, the newly wedded couple and their guests were transported by waiting cars to the nearby reception venue at the Mottistone Manor.

The following day, Cumberbatch's publicist, Karon Maskill, released a statement to the NY Daily News to officially confirm that the event took place. It simply reads: "Benedict and Sophie were married yesterday surrounded by their close friends and family. It was a magical day."

Previously, the newly-wedded couple also shunned the usual token post on Instagram and other social media to announce their engagement to the public. Instead, they did it the old-fashioned way, taking in an eight-line notice in the Times newspaper in November that reads: "The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katharine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London."

Last month, the then still-engaged couple also publicly confirmed earlier news that Sophie is already pregnant with their first child. In a statement, Cumberbatch publicist said: "I am delighted to confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are expecting their first child. They are both over the moon."

Cumberbatch and Hunter first met while working on their 2009 film, Burlesque Fairytales.
