Syfy and The Asylum today announced that the third installment in the Sharknado series will be airing Wednesday, July 22 at 9:00 pm and that it will officially be called Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! According to the network, the two-hour TV movie will be broadcast on all Syfy channels around the world - 86 countries in all, including the UK, Australia and across Europe, Asia and Latin America - when it premieres in international prime time within 24 hours of the United States debut.

Syfy's Senior Vice President for Program Strategy Chris Regina in the press announcement said: "We wanted this third title to boldly go where no shark movie has gone before. Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! embraces the larger-than-life irreverence that has made these movies so popular and entertaining." The Asylum's David Michael Latt, the producer for the project, added: "The sharks and tornadoes get all the glory, but we would like to thank our long-time marketing guru Mike DiGrazia who first suggested 'Oh hell no!' A dedicated fan of the genre, Mike created the tag lines for 1 and 2 - 'Enough Said!' and 'Shark Happens' - as well as the Sharknado posters, including the original, which was a viral sensation on its own."

While the original Sharknado caused widespread panic and mayhem in Los Angeles in 2013, and Sharknado 2 did much about the same in New York City in 2014, the upcoming Sharknado 3 which will be set in Washington, D.C., this time and, as per Syfy's teaser, will "cause mass destruction in the nation's capital before it roars down the Eastern Seaboard and into Florida."

Last week, the network also confirmed that David Hasselhoff, star of the popular Knight Rider and Baywatch TV series during the 1980s and the 1990s, has been cast as Gilbert Sheperd, the father of Ian Ziering's character, Fin, in Sharknado 3. He and Sharknado regular Ziering will be joining the other previously announced cast members which include Tara Reid as April, Cassie Scerbo as Nova, Bo Derek as April's mother, May, Ryan Newman as April and Fin's daughter Claudia, and Jack Griffo as Claudia's friend, Billy. Also confirmed to be seen in the next Sharknado movie are Jerry Springer, appearing as Mr. White, a manic tourist; 'N Sync's Chris Kirkpatrick as a pool lifeguard; and Chris Jericho, who will play Bruce, a roller-coaster ride operator.

As with the first and second Sharknado movies, surprise cameo appearances from other celebrities may be expected. Sharknado 3 will notably feature entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban of Shark Tank as the US President, while controversial conservative commentator and author Ann Coulter will play his Vice President. Anthony C. Ferrante will also return to direct the latest chapter in the continuing Sharknado saga.
