According to the report of Slash Film news, a Star Wars animation takes years to complete.  This is true as Paul Johnson, a fan film animator who spent four years to complete Star Wars: TIE Fighter into a short film.

Johnson has tried his best to draw the intricate details of the 80s classic anime into a short film.  His countless weekends were filled with background music from solo guitarist Zak Rahman while the sound design was by Joseph Leyva, an audio technician still new in the business.  Sound was life-like as the noise of the missile still gives him terrifying flashbacks.

The short film was so beautiful which will make any Star Wars anime fan love it.  Even the poster is created by Paul and his inspiration was the movie posters before which is done in acrylic/oil and makes you think what happens in the background.  It may not be as good as the original posters back then but the result is fantastic.

Paul sends his thanks to Lucasfilm people because they have encouraged him and others to be as creative as they can be and for coming up with such projects as this one.  He also said he is happy with how the fan-friendly concept of the short film inspired more people to draw and give their best to this classic movie.

"Star Wars: TIE Fighter" is a beautiful short film by Disney.  Paul said there is definitely more to come as another animated television version of the Star Wars saga was shown as a teaser for the many fans who are excited to watch for the short film.
