The fate of "Limitless" Season 2 is as clear as day. While it has been confirmed multiple times that the sequel of the CBS drama comedy television series is definitely not happening, fans are still having a hard time letting it go. If holding on to something will cause a renewal, "Limitless" Season 2 would have been streaming months ago. Unfortunately, that's not how things work in the business.

Despite news that "Limitless has already reached its limit at one season, fans of the CBS show were given hope following reports that "Limitless" Season 2 was being shopped to Netflix and Amazon. Sadly, even with a good cast and an already established title, the highly-wanted "Limitless" season 2 was not picked up by the outlets. Instead of accepting the show's fate, fans have been aggressively sharing their support for the show and an online petition was created.

There are a lot of factors to be considered for a show to be renewed. The rating should be high enough for it to continue, there should be a willing outlet for it to be streamed to their service and the show should have a large fanbase to keep the hype. Sadly, it seems that "Limitless" only got one out of the three mentioned. The said online petition for "Limitless" Season 2 is still ongoing and the number of supporters still keeps on growing. However, it seems that the petition is just going nowhere since the creator has not announced any update regarding the sequel of the much-loved show, like if it is finally picked up by Amazon or Netflix.

It has been reported that the mysterious drug NZT had been the main reason why "Limitless" Season 2 was never picked up. Amazon and Netflix are aware that they can not control the age of their viewers, but they can control what kind of series they can stream to the public. Unfortunately for "Limitless," its concept may just be too complicated for the outlets.

Fans are still hoping for "Limitless" Season 2 since they believe that the CBS show still has a lot to offer. Not only that, "Limitless" just went off air without giving a finality to the story, leaving fans with more questions than answers. These questions were believed to be answered in "Limitless" Season 2, but unfortunately they will remain unanswered as there is no chance for a sequel for now.
