'Maze Runner 3' News & Update: Wes Ball Teases 'Great Shot' With Dylan O'Brien, 'The Death Cure' Cast

Fans were elated when Dylan O'Brien and the rest of the cast of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" finally arrived in South Africa to resume filming the sequel. There is little doubt that production will be invigorated now that the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 star has fully recovered from his accident last year. Director Wes Ball has even gushed about working on the new "Maze Runner 3" set, teasing about a "great shot" that could feature Thomas and his fellow Gladers.

It has been almost a year since Dylan O'Brien suffered an accident on the set of "Maze Runner 3". The film was originally being filmed in Canada, but Globe And Mail has previously reported that production would be moved to South Africa. Perhaps the fresh start has worked well for Wes Ball. After all, the director of "The Death Cure" continues to tease fans with the awesome new set photos he posts on his Twitter account.

Wes Ball has recently confirmed that filming has resumed just a few days after Dylan O'Brien and the cast of "Maze Runner 3" arrived in Cape Town. The director's most recent Twitter post gushes about a "great shot" which might involve the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 star and his castmates.

Fans immediately wondered what the "great shot" was, with some asking Wes Ball if it was similar to the heroic image of Thomas and his fellow Gladers featured in "The Scorch Trials". The "Maze Runner 3" director responded that the new shot was definitely much better.

CeleBeat has previously reported on Dylan O'Brien reuniting with the cast of "Maze Runner 3" in Cape Town. There is little doubt that Wes Ball and the rest of production will have no problem working in South Africa. "The Death Cure" will premiere on January 12, 2018.
