Lee Sung Kyung, Nam Joo Hyuk Move On From ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo’ To New Projects

Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk quickly rose to fame after starring in the 2016 Korean drama "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." While many fans of the "SWAG" couple are hoping to see them pair up in more projects, it looks like Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk will be working on separate projects this 2017.

Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung have a huge fan following after starring as the "SWAG" couple Jung Joon Hyung and Kim Bok Joo in the MBC series "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." Their onscreen chemistry was such a hit among viewers that many expressed their hopes to see the two reunite for a new project.

Nam Joo Hyuk has previously expressed interest in working on another project with Lee Sung Kyung in an interview with Naver. According to the 23-year-old actor, he hopes to "create a different type of fun chemistry" with the 26-year-old actress should they be given the opportunity to work together again.

Despite many fans hoping to see the "SWAG" couple back on the small screens, these two are already moving on to their respective projects. As AllKpop reports, Nam Joo Hyuk is confirmed to star in tvN's upcoming drama entitled "Bride of the Water God."

Nam Joo Hyuk will be playing the lead role next to Shin Se Kyung, Krystal and Gong Myung. The network has not yet confirmed the official casting of the actors, but production will begin on March 22.

Lee Sung Kyung, on the other hand, is being tapped to play in the SBS drama "Be Careful of This Woman," according to Soompi. Lee Sung Kyung's agency, YG Entertainment has confirmed reports about the actress' potential role.

Should Lee Sung Kyung land the said role in "Be Careful of This Woman," the actress may be paired next to "Healer" actor, Ji Chang Wook. An insider from SBS told the same publication that Ji Chang Wook may be starring in the romantic comedy drama that will air in May 2017.
