The future of the DC Extended Universe might seem rather unsure right now. There have been no recent updates on the highly anticipated "The Flash" movie starring Ezra Miller while it has been revealed that "Aquaman" will have a later release date. But is it possible that Barry Allen's DCEU flick will be delayed and premiere after Jason Momoa's film? Will "The Flash" end up being released in 2019?

There is plenty of concern for Ezra Miller's standalone DCEU flick. According to io9, the most recent news about the film was about Joby Harold being brought in to fix the script. There have been no updates on whether Warner Bros. has found a director to replace Rick Famuyiwa. In addition to that, it is still uncertain whether the movie will be filmed this year along with Jason Momoa's "Aquaman".

Variety writer Justin Kroll recently took to Twitter that "Aquaman" is not the only DCEU flick that will be filmed in 2017. The news immediately had fans excited for the possibility that "Gotham City Sirens" will be released much sooner than expected. Unfortunately, the tweets also confirmed that "The Flash" might not begin production this year despite the previously announced premiere date on March 2018.

At this point, it might seem unlikely that "The Flash" will be released next year. There are already speculations that Ezra Miller's standalone DCEU flick will end up being pushed back to 2019 so that Jason Momoa's "Aquaman" can be the sole focus in 2018. It is also possible that Warner Bros. wants to keep people interested in Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, who is set to star in "Gotham City Sirens".

Ezra Miller's "The Flash" does not have a new official release date. "Aquaman", which will feature Jason Momoa, Amber Heard and Patrick Wilson, is set to premiere on December 21, 2018, as per ComicBookMovie.
