Amber Heard is not one to back away from sexuality issues after coming out in public years ago. She was recently in attendance at the second annual Pride & Prejudice in New York and took the spotlight after speaking candidly about sexuality.

The 30-year-old actress recalled her experience with the media in 2010 after revealing that she sees herself as bisexual. “Well, I always say in response — when I hear someone comment about me coming out, I think it’s funny because I was never in,” Amber Heard explained. “In part because I was very stubborn, I guess, and also in part because I just didn’t feel it was wrong.”

Amber Heard, who recently headed for divorce from actor Johnny Depp, explained how she did not look at her sexuality as a big deal. Rather, she learned a lot after taking her then-partner Tasya van Ree to the New York event in December 2010. According to People, the “Aquaman” actress also recalled how she took part in protests and described herself as an activist.

Amber Heard dated Tasya for four years before calling it quits in 2012; the actress brought up that time when she opened up about her sexuality issue to the media, saying that it was “definitely a big deal.” People from Hollywood warned her that being open about her sexuality could negatively affect her career. “I never saw myself defined as one particular thing or not. So, I watched as I quickly became not actress Amber Heard, but out lesbian Amber Heard,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Austin native recently posted a photo on Instagram, showing off her workout with a sword and captioning the post with “#Aquaman.” Prior to the release of “Aquaman” in December 2018, fans can look forward to seeing Amber Heard in “Justice League” in November this year, as reported by Comicbook. She briefly appeared in the latest movie trailer that can be viewed below.
