Another teaser trailer was released for "Justice League" and Superman is still conspicuously missing from all of DCs marketing campaign for the film. Avid followers of the story both in comics and in the cinematic world think that Warner Bros. and DC are preparing for a great comeback for the Man of Steel: He will return as one of the big bad wolves.

DC and Warner Bros. have been releasing teaser photos and trailer for "Justice League" and fans can't help but notice one superhero missing. Superman has been mysteriously missing from the very first photo still released for the movie up until the latest teaser. Fans of the DC universe are now trying to find out the reason for his absence and The Hollywood Reporter may just have uncovered one possible plot. The article noted DCs 2012 series "Earth 2" where Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman were killed off after facing off the big bad wolf from the alternate universe.

The story went on to see Superman coming back to life beside Darkseid, the big bad wolf of the DC Universe.  He becomes a brainwashed slave to Darkseid in the series though it was later revealed that it was just a clone and not Superman. DC and Warner Bros. could be following this plot for "Justice League." More so, Superman returning as a mind-controlled evil should give the five heroes a threat worth teaming up against. It should be noted, however, that the promotional website for the movie featured six logos of team members so another one should be coming along before the movie ends.

Aside from this fan-theory, The Verge pointed out more factors why the Last Son of Krypton isn't dead after all. Zack Snyder already announced that Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in "Justice League." More so, the end of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" saw dirt rising from his coffin, strongly indicating that he is still alive. Some fans believe that Snyder intentionally left out the Man of Steel in the promo teasers because he's going to be one of the villains in the movie.
