Stephen Amell who's well known as Oliver Queen of "Arrow" has confirmed that he will be one among the many stars who will compete on NBC's "American Ninja Warrior" celebrity edition. Amell will join as veteran participant Kacy Catanzaro's partner. Can he bring the Green Arrow's skills to the challenge?

Reportedly, the "Arrow" actor is lucky enough to become part of the first ever celebrity edition of "American Ninja Warrior." The NBC show annually celebrates the Red Nose Day but this year marks the first time that it will host the competition for celebrities, TV Guide reported.

Apart from the "Arrow" star, other celebrities who will join the celebrity edition of "American Ninja Warrior" include former Yankees player Nick Swisher, comedians Nikki Glaser and Jeff Dye, Olympic decathlon and heptathlon champion Ashton Eaton and actress Mena Suvari. Also competing in the American sports-entertainment are "Dancing with the Stars" Derek Hough, Natalie Morales of "Today" and "Parenthood's" Erika Christensen.

All competitors will be paired with "Elite Ninjas" who are accomplished participants of the show, American Ninja Warrior Nation reported. They will serve as coaches to prepare the challengers physically and mentally. As mentioned above, the "Arrow" protagonist will be partnered with coach Catanzaro.

Catanzaro is popular for being the first female competitor to qualify for the final challenge of "American Ninja Warrior." She is also the only participant to complete a City Finals course. Apart from the "Arrow" actor's coach, other advisers include Kevin Bull for Eaton, Drew Drechsel for Swisher, Natalie Duran for Suvari, Daniel Gil for Hough, Jessie Graff for Glaser, Grant McCartney for Morales, Meagan Martin for Dye and Flip Rodriguez for Christensen.

"Arrow" fans should catch Amell on "American Ninja Warrior" next month, May 25 at 8 p.m. on NBC. For more news and updates about your favorite celebrities, keep checking here at Celebeat.
