'Rick and Morty' Season 3: Surprise Ends, No New Episode This Month

Following the successful surprise to its fans on the April Fools' Day, the adult animated science fiction series "Rick and Morty" Season 3 stick to its original schedule to air in July. Previously, the fans were wondering whether the new season will come earlier when the first full episode suddenly aired on Adult Swim website and AdultSwim/Cartoon Network TV channel on April 1.

Subsequently, the airing of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 premiere is an April Fools' Day prank, which was pulled successfully. The first episode titled “The Rickshank Redemption” has answered the question left in Season 2 finale on Oct. 4, 2015. For fans who missed the surprise, SlashFILM has listed the available bumpers that can be seen on YouTube.

Unfortunately, there will be no more episode available this month. "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will air according to its original schedule, as reported by The Independent. The show's official Twitter announced last Sunday, April 2, that more episodes will come this summer after the last season finale aired two years ago. The very long delay without any notification has made fans anxious.

Moreover, there was a rumor about the Roiland and Harmon were having a fight regarding the upcoming season. Last January, Harmon took to Twitter to release a lengthy note. He explained that he and Roiland argue and fought about the content of the series, but that did not become the cause of the delay of "Rick and Morty" Season 3. He summed up the long note about in a short sentence, "The truth is not dramatic. It’s quite boring."

Following the successful prank on April Fools' Day that went viral, "Rick and Morty" Season 3 has gained many new fans. However, those new fans need to watch the first two seasons to understand the plot and story of the series. Watch the explanation of the new season of the series below:
