BIGBANG has already celebrated their 10th year in the business last year. While the popular South Korean boy band are not showing any signs of slowing down, their career may come to a screeching halt when their mandatory military service will finally catch up to all them.

G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong), T.O.P. (Choi Seung-hyun), Taeyang (Dong Young-bae), Daesung (Kang Dae-sung), and Seungri (Lee Seung-hyun) have been dubbed as the kings of K-pop for they consistently dominate the charts even with new K-pop bands forming here and there. But could the end be near for BIGBANG as they are all in the age bracket to serve their country?

BIGBANG leader G-Dragon has previously opened up about their upcoming mandatory military service. "Whenever our country calls us, we'll go. We don't know when or who it will be, so I want to show people the five-member BIGBANG for as long as we're allowed," he said. Oldest member, T.O.P, has already started his mandatory military service back in February.

Although it sounds like G-Dragon has already accepted their fate and that they are ready to serve their country, his worries is not because they're leaving, but what will happen if they come back from their service. "We'll go and do our duty well. It's the aftermath that's the problem. However, when that time arrives, we might be older and have changed our minds. Although we will always be BIGBANG, we don't know what will happen when we come back [from enlistment]."

The future for BIGBANG may still be uncertain for now, but G-Dragon made sure to reassure fans that he will be back in the public eye when he gets his confidence back again after service. Meanwhile, G-Dragon is arguably one of the most influential artists in K-pop, if not the whole world. His style has garnered him fans outside Korea, even grabbing the attention of fashion legend, Karl Lagerfeld.

Being a fashion icon for over a decade, it is only fitting for G-Dragon to release his very own clothing line, PEACEMINUSONE. The 28-year-old rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer is making himself busy before his military service, and he even hinted that he is currently creating a solo album.
