While a report claims that the 27-year-old singer is hiding in shame after all the scandals and controversies she was involved in last year, another suggests that the singer is looking to release a new album this year. Taylor Swift is reportedly releasing a new album this 2017 and this might explain the reason for the "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" singer's absence from public sightings and social media. According to E! News, Swift is busy "writing and recording her new album in Nashville for the last several months."

An insider told the publication that the "Shake It Off" singer has been working "around the clock" and is all set to announce her new album soon. Many fans began wondering whether Swift will once again allude to her previous romances, including her most recent boyfriends, Tom Hiddleston and Calvin Harris.

Harris, however, may be the first one to release a song about Swift with the help of Taylor's famous nemesis in the industry, Katy Perry. USA Today notes that Harris shared the trackless of his upcoming album, which will feature a track created with Perry.
